I respect

I should always keep good relations with my family, especially with my parents, never leaving my loved ones in a bad manner, I should greet and show affection to them regularly and in arguments, no matter who is wrong, I should seek forgiveness. I should never go to bed nor embark on a journey without resolving arguments. The treatment of parents is crucial to my success and happiness in this world and the hereafter - respecting my parents is key to entering Jannah...I love my family!

I am considerate

When I am shopping, I should buy with simplicity  as materialism is closer to the devil. If I have free cash I should invest it as a gift for another or provide some charity because I am a Muslim.

Patience is my shield

When I am sick or afflicted with some distress, no matter the severity, I should be patient and remember Allah knows best. I should not overburden myself nor the next unnecessarily yet contain that stress within my concrete trust in Allah.

 Allah will forgive me, for some of my sins because of the sickness/distress caused, Inshallah

Free Rice

In my interest to make a difference, no matter how small, I came across this great initiative today, thanks to 3F's.  FreeRice is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Programme that provides an almost effortless means for people to donate minimal time in exchange for free rice to the needy. You play simple multiple choice games and for each correct answer, FreeRice will donate 10 rice grains on your behalf.

Getting Started:

1.       Go to www.freerice.com

2. Click on the sign up button (located at the left top corner of the page), register with a valid e-mail address. Once you receive your confirmation e-mail, logon with the pre-generated password supplied in the e-mail. (You can change this password by editing your profile after first login).

3. Before you start playing, you will need to select a group as follows

Click on "Select a group"

Click on "Find groups"

Join the Muslims United group as follows: Type "Muslims United" in the search box (top right corner)

Muslims United will appear in the list box (as shown above), click on it. On the next screen, select PLAY.

Remember, each type you login, you will need to scroll down to "Muslim United" and click PLAY so that you can contribute under this group. 





Select a category and start playing. It's fun, easy and non invasive. Imagine while you play, you're donating rice (food) to someone who did not have it 3 seconds ago.  Just 5 minutes a day secures a meal for one of the 925 million hungry people worldwide.

I am beautiful

When I do envy another because of beauty or circumstances greater than mines I should reassure myself of how fortunate I am by looking to someone who has less than me, thanking Allah for the beauty He gave me...Allah fashioned me with a different beauty to the next.

I am responsible

When I wrong whether unintentionally or intentionally, I should ask forgiveness of all parties involved and seek repentance with Allah. It does not matter who or what is wrong but to bring relief to my heart, I should always give the benefit of the doubt. 

Allah is the most–forgiving  so who am I compared to Him?

When I speak, my voice should relay and protract like the soft tunes of a bird. I should never harm. I should keep patience and good thoughts foremost in my mind to deliver and receive good conversation. If I have nothing good to say, I should keep quiet...
